Examining The Horse And Riding Equipment

  1. Riding a horse successfully has two equal parts – you and the horse. Make sure that you and the horse are both fit for riding. Take a look and check if the horse you shall be riding is completely healthy and does not have any injuries or show any sign of discomfort.
  2. Have an experienced rider check the saddle if it is properly installed in the horse. Make sure that it is not damaged or broken.
  3. Have him also check on the other riding equipment. Make sure that the reins and bridle are properly fastened and have to trace of damage.
  4. If the horse has a bit in his mouth, check if the horse is comfortable with the bit in his mouth.
