Examining The Horse And Riding Equipment
- Riding a horse successfully has two equal parts – you and the horse. Make sure that you and the horse are both fit for riding. Take a look and check if the horse you shall be riding is completely healthy and does not have any injuries or show any sign of discomfort.
- Have an experienced rider check the saddle if it is properly installed in the horse. Make sure that it is not damaged or broken.
- Have him also check on the other riding equipment. Make sure that the reins and bridle are properly fastened and have to trace of damage.
- If the horse has a bit in his mouth, check if the horse is comfortable with the bit in his mouth.
